The Art of Hosting and Convening Conversations is a combined experiential training, learning lab and retreat. It provides a space where you can connect to what matters most, discover what is possible,and inspire co-creation. It is a space where leaders, groups and communities can have meaningful conversations about systemic change -conversations that lead to wise action. It is presently being practiced in sustainability, grassroots community building, educational reform,public sector transformation and other social change and democracy movements around the world.

We invite participants from the educational corporate, non-profit, environmental, and public sectors to join in meaningful conversations leading to wise action; leaders from Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and global community who want to promote collective and intelligence in order to achieve better cooperation and results; and practitioners who would like to join a growing, global learning community.

The Art of Hosting retreat will take place at the Marguerite Centre in Pembroke, Ontario (www.margueritecentre.com).Located in the heart of the Upper Ottawa Valley, an hour and a halfdrive north of Canada's capital, Ottawa, the Marguerite Centre is a spiritual conference centre providing space for people to expore,learn, balance and grow, The Centre is dedicated to the values of of contemplation and community, earth literacy, the local economy and sustainability. This is a residential retreat designed to be a whole process from the opening session on the evening of Monday, April 27through to the closing on Thursday, April 30. We ask all participants to reside at the Marguerite Centre and attend the opening and closing sessions. Accommodations include a single room and shared bath, with all meals and breaks.
