4 - 6 September - a gathering for New Zealand
4.000.000 dreams gathering for New Zealand. We are serious about creating a community of practice throughout New Zealand that shifts the way we do meetings and collaborate in this country. This is the first step in a long term vision. -

What’s so special about New Zealand?

What would bring forth our best?

What have we forgotten about being neighbours and citizens and living in partnership?

What’s the Gathering all about?
The Gathering is an event open to anyone who is interested in talking about New Zealand — our future, our potential, our dreams, aspirations and our practical plans.

The team wanted to create a space where people who have been working away in their own areas and on their own projects could come together, get inspiration, stretch their perspectives and find new mates to help them bring their dreams to life.  We know there are plenty of people who’ve got great ideas, but it’s rare to get time together and see the big picture and even rarer to have the space to talk about how we really move forward and live our potential in the world.

This is also an opportunity to take part in The Art of hosting applied to a project - in this case New Zealand and to learn from our Hosting Team about some of the initiatives that have been happening overseas.  We even have people travelling here from other countries to take part.  If you’re interested in the topic, keen to get together with other inspired and inspiring people and you also want to learn about how to host meetings like this, the Gathering is ideal for you.

How do both these events fit together?
They fit together like two bookends.  In The Art of Hosting, you’ll see the patterns that underlie great groups working together.  In the Gathering, you’ll see these patterns applied to a real time project and learn how we might apply them large scale.

But why should I really be interested?
How many meetings have you gone to that didn’t work?  Don’t you think it’s time they did?  What if meetings were a place where people came together to get really innovative, engaged and charged up about the challenges they’re facing and the work they have to do?  If you know something different needs to happen at your place, or within your practice, this could be the place where you find out how to innovate from within.

Beyond this training, we are serious about creating a community of practice throughout New Zealand that shifts the way we do meetings and collaborate in this country.  This is the first step in a long term vision.

Can I talk to someone about what it will be like?
Sure, I’ll put you on to one of our team, who can answer all your questions.  They’ll get back to you within 48 hours.  What’s the best way to reach you?
